And so as I was saying, I was able to watch the some episodes of Kamandag (‘Venom’ in English) in MyPinoy.tv just recently and I find it cool and amazing. This is because I realized how Philippine entertainment has advanced its technical and use of camera tricks and effects in the tv show like in Kamandag for instance. Moreover, the Pinoyserye Kamandag, explicitly and implicitly teaches its viewers moral values like: the importance of respect in humanity, significance of knowing your sense of meaning or learning the value of life, and most especially, how to deal with conflicts and obstacles in stages of your live development.
The story of Kamandag shows how a hero feels like when they undergo changes in their appearance and behavior as they pass certain stage of their lives (from Childhood- Adolescence – and transiting to Adulthood). According to our superhero Verhel a. k. a. ‘Kamandag’ (character played by Richard Gutierrez), life is difficult for a child growing to have unexpected, extraordinary superhuman power and abilities because people may think that you are not normal and they may even conclude that you’re a monster. However, Verhel shows and proves the people that he is not the monster who should be feared. Vergel, uses his superhuman abilities to help other people in times of danger and whenever they are in need of help. This makes the Pinoy serye delightful to Pinoy viewers. In times when there are lots of crises, psychologically, we are all-hoping and in need of heroes like Kamandag.
